Hi, I’m Vera. In addition to farming, I am passionate about teaching people of all ages the joys of cooking straight from the farm. As a teacher, my hope is to help you fall in love with seasonal vegetables and gain the skills you need to confidently cook delicious food that makes you feel good.

All of my classes and workshops aim to reconnect the land to the kitchen, are hands-on, and source produce from our small farm. I tailor each class to what you most want to learn, from harvesting ingredients for a simple scratch-made meal to meal planning or wild fermentation. At the end of each class, we sit down to a meal together.

I spent five years teaching at The Edible Schoolyard, first in Berkeley, CA and then as a founding member of ESY NYC in Brooklyn, NY. Since 2014, I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with chef Andrea Reusing on Kitchen Patrol, an afterschool cooking program for kids at Lantern Restaurant. Over the last few years, I've begun teaching adult cooking classes and look forward to more to come.
